Enquire now for your Pre-Wedding Party

Pre-wedding events are an exciting part of the wedding planning process. They enable you to connect with close relatives and friends to celebrate, remember old times, and make future plans.

Which one will you choose?

Engagement Party

An official engagement party is also a great way to meet key family members for the first time (such as the parents), who will be seeing each other a lot over the next few months (and years!) and possibly helping plan your upcoming wedding together. Everyone you care about will want to congratulate you once you've announced your engagement, and let's be honest, a party is a lot more fun than a telephone conversation or Facebook post.

Mehndi Party

A Mehndi party is a pre-wedding event attended by the bride's closest female friends and family members. The application of the bridal mehndi, or henna design, to their hands and feet is the focus of the event.

Bridal Shower

A bridal shower is traditionally a gathering to celebrate the bride-to-be. Although bridal shower themes and locations have become more varied in recent years, a few common themes remain. They are usually held during the day on a weekend afternoon or weekday evening and attended by all of the women close to the bride (think friends from school, the bridesmaids to be and of course everyone’s Mum/Nan. Traditionally, guests bring gifts to support the bride in settling into her new home. Personal gifts from close relatives, such as lingerie, jewellery, and keepsakes, are also common. Brunch or lunch is usually served, and wedding-themed games are normally played.

Hen Do / Stag Do

A hen party (also known as a hen do, hen weekend, or bachelorette party by our American sisters) is a pre-wedding celebration in which the bride and her closest friends spend a long weekend away from home, organise a party night or daytime event to celebrate her upcoming marriage. (These days everything goes, from spa days to afternoon teas and crazy golf!). Often they involve fancy dress with the bridal party and Bride to Be often wearing a veil out in public!
The Stag Do is the male equivalent. With the men frequently opting for fancy dress and a group activity as well. While both have a reputation for rowdy alcohol-infused pub golf, more and more people are opting for meals, brunches, and weekend getaways these days.
